Info

After creating a VM, adjust the VM resources according to the details on the page

For VMware
.

Adjust the resource by executing the following steps:

  1. Click your VM name. Click Resource Allocation tab. Click Edit in the CPU box.

    Selecting Resource Allocations

  2. Reserve CPU speed. For requirements details, see For VMware.

    1. Select Resources tab and select CPU as shown.

    2. From Resource Allocation section, set Reservation value by clicking up/down arrows or dragging the Reservation bar.

      Note:

Set CPU reservation to a value calculated by multiplying: (half of the number of vCPUs assigned to the VM) x (the physical CPU processor speed).

      For example, for a 4 CPUs configuration with a processor of 2.99 GHz CPU frequency, reserve "2992 * 2 = 5984 MHz".

    3. Select Unlimited check box for optimal performance.

      Reserve CPU Speed

  3. Reserve minimum memory. For requirements details, see For VMware.

    1. Select Resources tab and select Memory as shown.

    2. From Resource Allocation section, set Reservation value by clicking up/down arrows or dragging the Reservation bar.

    3. Select Unlimited check box for optimal performance.

      Reserve Memory

      Note:

Use 20 GB RAM for large configurations and 17 GB RAM for small configurations. Refer to SBC SWe Performance Metrics for more information on memory required for different call capacities.

  4. Select Advanced CPU. Use default values for Hyperthreaded Core Sharing Mode and Scheduling Affinity.
