The support of JIP parameter in SIP INVITE message enhances the 

Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
to support interworking of Jurisdiction information (JIP) for SIP-SIP and SIP-SIP-I and vice-versa including GW-GW by sending JIP in the PAI/FROM/PDCS header.
Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
can interwork JIP across gateway to GSX as well. 

This feature is supported only with external PSX.

JIP information can be carried in the P-Asserted-ID/FROM/P-DCS-Billing-Info header of SIP INVITE message and in the PDCS header in 3xx response. 

Unable to show "metadata-from": No such page "_space_variables"
will record the JIP received information in the CDR.

Multiple controls can be enabled at a time to select the header or parameter from which JIP value will be extracted. The priority of extraction of JIP is as follows:

  • RN PARAMETER IN PAI
  • JIP PARAMETER IN PAI
  • RN PARAMETER IN FROM
  • JIP PARAMETER IN PDCS

To View Sip Jip Profile

On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Service Profiles > Sip Jip Profile.

The Sip Jip Profile window is displayed.

To Edit Sip Jip Profile

To edit any of the Sip Jip Profile in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Sip Jip Profile name.

Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.

To Create Sip Jip Profile

To create a new Sip Jip Profile, click New Sip Jip Profile tab on the Sip Jip Profile List panel.

Sip Jip Profile Parameters

Parameter

Description

Name

Specifies the name of the Sip Jip Profile.

Use Jip From PAIrn

Specifies that when it is enabled, JIP information is extracted from rn parameter in PAI header of INVITE message.The options are:

  • enabled
  • disabled (default)

Use Jip From PAIjip 

Specifies that when it is enabled,JIP information is extracted from jip parameter in PAI header of INVITE mesage. The options are:

  • enabled
  • disabled (default)

Use Jip From FROM
  

Specifies that when it is enabled, JIP information is extracted from rn parameter in FROM header of INVITE message. The options are:

  • enabled
  • disabled (default)

Use Jip From PDCS 

Specifies that when it is enabled, JIP information is extracted from jip parameter in PDCS header of INVITE message.The options are:

  • enabled
  • disabled (default)
Send Jip In

Specifies the header and parameter of INVITE message in which the JIP information should be sent:

  • rnPAI (default) -SBC will send the JIP value in rn parameter in PAI header.
  • jipPAI - SBC will send the JIP value in jip parameter in PAI header.
  • rnFROM - SBC will send the JIP value in rn parameter in FROM header.
  • jipPDCS - SBC will send the JIP value in jip parameter in PDCS-Billing-Info header.
Jip Parameter As

Specifies the parameter format in which JIP information should be sent. The options are:

  • userInfo (default)
  • uriParam

 

To Copy Sip Jip Profile

To copy any of the created Sip Jip Profile and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Sip Jip Profile to highlight the row.

Click Copy Sip Jip Profile tab on the Sip Jip Profile List panel.

The Copy Selected Sip Jip Profile window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited.

Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes. The copied Sip Jip Profile is displayed at the bottom of the original Sip Jip Profile in the Sip Jip Profile List panel.

To Delete Sip Jip Profile

To delete any of the created Sip Jip Profile, click the radio button next to the specific Sip Jip Profile which you want to delete.

Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision.

Click OK to remove the specific Sip Jip Profile from the list.
