Should it be necessary, you can reboot or reset the ASM from this task. The Reboot task instructs the ASM operating system to restart (a "clean" reboot), equivalent to rebooting a PC from the Start menu. The Hardware Reset task abruptly resets the ASM (a "dirty" reboot), equivalent to interrupting the power.

The Reboot option is recommended in all cases, and Reset should only be used when the ASM is not responding to other commands.

Rebooting the ASM

Before you Begin
This operation can only be performed when the Managing the SBC Communication Service becomes operational. In other words, only when a valid ASM IP address has been configured either via the Initial Setup or the ASM IP Settings.
  1. In the WebUI, click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, under the Application Solution Module, click Shut Down/Reset/Reboot.

  3. Select Reboot the Card
  4. Click Apply

A current activity status window will be displayed until the reboot is complete and the node is reachable

Resetting the ASM

  1. In the WebUI, click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, under the Application Solution Module, click Shut Down/Reset/Reboot.

  4. Click Apply

A current activity status window will be displayed until the reboot is complete and the card is reachable.
