Calls to Lync Users

This module routes calls to Lync users. It checks the called number against the msRTCSIP-Line AD attribute to determine if the callee has a Lync number.

 

  1. Create the Lync Transformation Table.

    Transformation Table - Is the Call to a Lync Device?

     

     

  2. Create the Lync Transformation Table entry.
    This entry performs the AD lookup.

  3. Create a Lync Action in the Action Configuration menu.

  4. Add an entry to the main Action Set.

Failover Functionality

From the Lync Route Table, it is possible to add additional Call Route Entries to provide additional call processing should Lync be down.

Failover to Exchange

To add failover functionality to Exchange, use the following:

  • Add an entry to the Lync Routing Table that points to Exchange.

Failover to Mobile

Add an entry to the Lync Routing Table that points to the callee's mobile phone.

  1. Add a Transformation Table to call the mobile.

  2. Add the Transformation Table entries.

    Find the Callee's Mobile Number

     

     

  3. Add an entry to the Lync Call Route Table.

Summary

Your Lync Call Route Table should now have a route entry to send the call to the Lync server. If the Lync server is down, the call will be re-routed to Exchange to leave voicemail. If Exchange is offline, the calls will be forwarded to the callee's mobile number.
