To Set a Static IP Address in Mac OS X
- From the Apple menu, select System Preferences...
- Select Network.
- Click the Ethernet interface, and the IP settings will appear.
- Click the dropdown for Configure IPv4, and select Manually.
- Enter
192.168.128.8
for IP Address, and 255.255.255.0
for Subnet Mask, as shown below.
- Click Apply.
