Use this control to set detection of Media peer inactivity (Inactivity Timeout
) which may be used in conjunction with packet loss rate parameter (Packet Loss Threshold
) of Packet Service Profile. Note that if Packet Loss Threshold
is set to any value less than "400", it is considered as being set to “0” and no packet loss is detected. Thus only Media peer inactivity will be detected by the SBC.
On SBC main screen, go to All > System > Media > Media Peer Inactivity. The Media Peer Inactivity window is displayed.

Inactivity Timeout | Specifies the RTP/RTCP inactivity timeout value. The default value is 60 seconds. The valid range is between 20 to 1260 seconds. The timeout value must be a multiple of 10 seconds. When both RTP and RTCP are enabled, timeout will only occur if both packet types remain undetected for the configured inactivityTimeout duration. If RTCP is not enabled, then only the absence of RTP causes the timer to expire. Specify timeout value in multiples of 10 (range: 20-1260 / default = 60). When using this feature, you must also set the "Peer Absence Action" flag from Packet Service Profile (see System Provisioning - Packet Service Profile). Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.
