Joining the ASM to a domain may impact the availability of services on the ASM such as Remote Desktop by denying access to these services through security policies.

Before joining the ASM server to a domain, we recommend for you to review your domain's default security and group policies to verify that required services and access are allowed. You may need to create exceptions for the ASM host to allow the use of services such as Remote Desktop.

Un-joining the ASM from a Domain

This is not a common operation, but can be used in the event you have incorrectly joined to the wrong domain. This operation does not reboot the ASM.

If you have already started Deploying the SBA, unjoining will damage the deployment and a Re-initializing the ASM must be performed.

  1. In Domain Action, select Unjoin from Current Domain.
