E&M Signaling - Field Definitions

Orientation

(warning) This option is not supported. It will be addressed in a future release.

  • User/Slave: Use this option when connecting to PSTN.
  • Network/Master: Use this option when connected to a PBX.

Incoming and Outgoing Start Dial

Specifies the E&M protocol for incoming and outgoing calls respectively.

DTMF On Time

Specifies the duration, in milliseconds, that the tones are on.

DTMF Off Time

Specifies the duration, in milliseconds, of the pause between tones.

Inter-Digit Timeout

Used to set the timeout time, in milliseconds, between dialed numbers.
Because the Sonus SBC 1000/2000 does not currently support dial plans, the use of an inter-digit timeout is necessary to detect the end of digit dialing.
