To View Server Admin Objects
The A Server Admin table configuration object describes the configuration of each a server module. A server module can be a standalone server or a server card in a chassis-based system. From this window you can also run commands related to server administration such as managing coredump files or restarting/resetting the server.
To view the list of Server AdminsAdmin objects in your system, on the SBC main screen, go to Administration > System Administration > Server Admin. The Server Admin window is displayed.

For 1:1 formation formations on AWS (supported by the Centralized mode), the Server Admin object of the EMA display results for both active and standby volumes. This is because in Centralized mode, the active and standby volumes are always synchronized with each other. N:1 formations supported by the Distributed mode is are not available on the AWS platform. For more information on Centralized and Distributed modes, refer to System - Admin. |
By default only ten entries are displayed in a view. You can choose the number of entries to be displayed under the Show entries drop down box.
To Edit a Server Admin Object
To edit a Server Admin object, click the adjacent radio button. The Edit Selected Server Admin window appears.To edit any of Admins listed, click the radio button of the required Admin, the edit window appears:

Server Admin Commands
This object allows you to perform the following operation:Use the Server Admin commands to manage core dump files and perform server actions such as restart and soft reset.

Select one of the commands and click Select. A pop-up window opens where you can specify any required command options and initiate the selected command.

| Force Core Dump | Use this command to force the termination of a fixed set of application processes with accompanying core dumps for troubleshooting purposes. By default, a full dump is performed if no option is specified.Before the command executes, the user is prompted to confirm or cancel the operation. If canceled, no further action is taken, and application operation is not affected.Select one of the following options in the pop-up window:
NOTE: This command causes the SBC application to restart. | Identity | Turn on/off the locator LED of the specified server for the amount of time set with the Duration – The duration (in seconds) to illuminate the locator LED of specified server. The LED illuminates for the specified number of seconds and then extinguishes. A duration of "0" turns off the locator LED and a duration of "255" turns on the locator LED indefinitely. If the duration is not specified, 15 seconds is set as the default value. |
| Remove Coredump | Use this object command to remove the specified a coredump file from the chosen server. Coredump File Name <filename> – The In the pop-up window specify the name of the coredumpfile to remove in Coredump File Name. | ||
Restart | This Use this command restarts to restart a server/CE. | ||
| Soft Reset | Restart Use this command to restart the applications on the system without rebooting the server(s). |
Select the desired Admin Command from the list and click Select.
A pop up window appears seeking your confirmation on the command you have selected and its respective fields to be filled/chosen.

Fill/Choose the required fields if any and click the command button to confirm. A message appears stating the action of the command.
