In some scenarios where the customer would have already installed an ISO as a part of POC or test environment with an older SWe release (say 4.2.1R). But sometimes require to install or deploy a new ISO installation of SWe in Production with later release (say 4.2.3R) build. In such a case, the customer needs to re-install the ISO.The re-installation of ISO is required for those customers who would want to upgrade the older ISO SWe release to new release in production environment.

Follow the below steps to re-install the ISO:

  1. Click your Right-click the VM instance name . Right-and click and select Edit Settings.

  2. Click Options tab.

    1. Click Boot Options.

    2. Check the Force BIOS Setup option and click OK.

  3. Click Hardware tab.
    1. Click CD/DVD drive 1
    2. Click Browse... Select the ISO image software file. For example, the ISO file name is sbc-V05.01.00A503-connexip-os_03.01.00-amd64.iso.

     Click OK
    1. Click OK to close the Browse Datastores window.

    2. Check the Connect at power on option and click OK.

  4. Select VM Name. Click Right-click the VM instance name and click Power>Power On. BIOS setup window appears.

  5. Click Boot tab and select "CD-ROM Drive" option.

  6. Click Boot tab, "+" or "-" to change the boot order by selecting for "CD-ROM Drive" as the first option.

  7. Press F10 to Save and Exit. A setup confirmation appears.

  8. Click Yes to save and exit.

  9. The Connex IP OS Window appears. Select Install option and click Press Enter.

  10. After the setup is run successfully. Click ,  select VM instance name and right-click Edit Settings.
  11. Click Hardware tab.

    1. Click CD/DVD drive 1.

    2. Uncheck the Connect at power on option and click OK.

  12. Click Options tab.

    1. Click Boot Options.

    2. Check the Force BIOS Setup option and click OK.

  13. Again, right-click the VM instance name and click Power>Power On to display the BIOS setup window.
    1. Click Boot tab and select "CD-ROM Drive" option.
    2. Click "+" or "-" to

    Make sure that you
    1. change the boot order for "CD-ROM Drive" option back to its original.

    2. Press F10 to Save and exit and to power back your VM.
