PPTP is a network protocol that enables secure transfer of data from a remote client to a private enterprise server by creating a virtual private network (VPN) across TCP/IP-based data networks. PPTP encapsulates PPP packets into IP datagrams for transmission over the Internet or other public TCP/IP-based networks.
The PPTP Server allows remote users secure access to the LAN. Remote users are connected to the system's LAN via an encrypted VPN, allowing access to information and services on the local network.
