1. Choose VoIP > SIP > B2BUA to open the B2BUA Trunking Configuration page. The first configuration window on the page is Trunking Devices.

  2. Configure B2BUA Trunking Configuration Parameters settings using the information in the following table as a guide. When you finish configuring settings, click Update to make your changes take effect.

    Trunking Devices

    Note: The trunking devices for the FXS and PRI ports appear automatically. Trunking devices for Microsoft Teams environments are derived from the Trunk Group Availability settings. Refer to Configure the SBC for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing.

    Displays a list of configured trunking devices and their registration status on the system:

    Name—Identifies the trunking device.

    Address—PBX IP address for the trunking device.

    Port—Port number of the trunking device.

    Group—Group that the trunking device has been assigned to.

    Username—Authenticates the trunking device.

    Registration Status—Registration status for the trunking device:

       • Registered

       • Not Registered

    Transport—Shows the chosen transport method of the trunking device

    SRTP—Indicates the SRTP policy of the trunking device:

      • Disabled—Accepts only insecure calls.

      • Mandatory—Accepts only secure calls.

      • Optional—Accepts both secure and insecure calls.

    Note: The SRTP option is only visible if Enable SRTP Support on the VoIP page is enabled.

    New Entry

    Creates a new trunking device on the system and adds it to the Trunking Devices table. When the trunking device has registered with the system the Registration Status column displays “Registered” and the Address and Port columns update with the address information from the Contact header of the Register request.

    Create a new trunking device in the Trunking Devices window. If necessary, click New Entry to open the new trunking device entry window.

    NameEnter the name for identifying the trunking device.

    Model

    (Optional)

    Choose the model of the trunking device from the Model drop-down list.

    Required for dynamically configured trunking devices.

    Note: Choose Generic PBX if the model of IP PBX the device entry is being created for, is not in the drop-down list.

    Address (IP/FQDN)

    Click the Address(IP/FQDN) radio button and enter an IP address in the field provided. Enter the IP address or FQDN for the trunking device:

    Statically configured—You must also enter a port.

    Dynamically configured—The trunking device registers with the system and requires a username and password.

    Use DNS SRVIf the FQDN requires DNS SRV support, select the Use DNS SRV option.
    Port

    Enter the port number for the trunking device.

    Required for statically configured trunking devices.

    Transport

    Choose a transport method from the Transport drop-down list.

    UDP

    TCP

    TLS

    SRTP

    (Optional)

    Set the SRTP mode for media encryption:

    • Disabled—Accepts only insecure calls.

    • Mandatory—Accepts only secure calls.

    • Optional—Accepts both secure and insecure calls.

    Note: This option is only visible if Enable SRTP Support on the VoIP page is enabled. Also, this option is only active if the Transport is set to TLS.

    Source FQDNEnter the system local FQDN. This value is used in the SIP messages sent to the configured trunking device. 
    Ignore alias source

    If enabled, the Alias IP is used by EdgeMarc for communication with SIP server, and the Physical IP is used for Teams communication. 

    If disabled, the Alias IP is used by EdgeMarc for Microsoft Teams communication and communication with the SIP server. 

    By default, this is disabled.

    UsernameEnter the user name for authentication with dynamically configured trunking devices.
    Password

    Enter the password for authentication with dynamically configured trunking devices.

    Authenticate Registration

    Enable Authenticate Registration to enforce the B2BUA to challenge PBX registration.

    Note: The password must not be empty to challenge PBX registration.

    SIP ICE-Support

    (Optional)

    Select SIP ICE-Support mode from the drop-down list, to make EdgeMarc act as an ICE Lite agent endpoint:

    • None—SIP calls do not have ICE support.
    • Lite—EdgeMarc acts as an ICE Lite agent endpoint with peer Full ICE agents for SIP calls for media traversal involving NAT devices.

    Note: This option is only visible if Enable Microsoft Teams on the VoIP page is enabled. Also, this option is only active if the trunking device model is Microsoft Teams.

    Note: Click Update to save your settings in the Trunking Devices window. Your changes are applied to the local cache. To save your configuration changes to the EdgeMarc, click Submit.

  3. To add another trunking device, click New Row to add a new row to the Trunking Devices table.

  4. To edit a device:

    1. Click once on the device in the Trunking Devices table. The row is highlighted and the information from the selected line is displayed in the details box below the table.

    2. Edit trunking device details and click Update. Your changes are applied to the local cache. To save your configuration changes to the EdgeMarc, click Submit.

  5. To delete a device, click the red X next to the selected device. The device is immediately removed from the Trunking Devices table. You do not have to click Submit when deleting a device.

  6. Click Update to save your settings in the Trunking Devices window.

  7. Proceed to Manage B2BUA Credentials and Registration.
