Add New SIP Server

The system supports auto-failover to secondary SIP servers - if it is provided with a list of SIP servers.

In normal IAD mode, you are required to provide IP addresses of the SIP servers, not DNS addresses. But in IAD with geo-redundancy mode, you can specify either IP addresses or FQDNs of the SIP Servers.

To add a new SIP server to the list:

  1. Choose SIP UA > SIP Proxies.

  2. To manually enter the list click Create, adjacent to the List of SIP Servers. The GUI will change to present a window for adding and viewing SIP Server details.

  3. Enter the following details and click Add:

    • IP Address: Enter the IP address/FQDN of the SIP Server.

      Note

FQDN is supported only in IAD mode with geo-redundancy. If your EdgeMarc 300 device is ATA licensed, IAD mode and geo-redundancy mode are enabled by default.

    • Port: Enter the port of the SIP Server

      Note

URLs are not allowed in these fields.
