Forwarding WAN Firewall Settings Tip: Use CLI to view the active firewall logs in /var/log/messages. |
Enable PPTP Sever Pass-Through | Select the Enable PPTP Server Pass-through checkbox to allow TCP port 1723 to be forwarded through the system to the defined PPTP Server IP Address. The server is placed on the LAN side with a private IP address, which allows Windows PPTP to pass through to a Windows server, but firewalls the server from other traffic. Caution: Enabling PPTP server pass-through and the PPTP server on this system can cause intermittent behavior on both servers. It is recommended that only one server be enabled at a time. |
PPTP Server IP Address | Enter the private PPTP server IPv4 IP address. All outside users will use the system’s public IP address to access the PPTP server. The Windows server has a private IP address, which is handled by the system using NAT. |
