1. Choose Network > Subinterfaces.

  2. Configure settings using the information in the following table as a guide.

    Add a Subinterface

    Assigns additional IP addresses to interfaces. These addresses are sometimes referred to as alias or loopback interfaces.

    IP AddressEnter the subinterface IP address.
    NetmaskEnter the network mask associated with the IP address. The default value is 255.255.255.0. If several addresses are applied to an interface and these addresses are in a common network, they must use a common subnet. The system does not support supernetting.
    Interface

    Choose a port location from the Interface drop-down list:

    LAN

    WAN

    After creating a LAN subinterface, it is often necessary to configure a firewall pass-through rule to permit IP packets through the system.

    To configure pass-through rules, choose Network > Pass-Through Rules and refer to Configuring Pass-Through Rules.

    Subinterfaces

    Manage subinterfaces on the system.

  3. Click Add.

    A message indicates that service will be interrupted.

  4. Click OK and then Submit All.

  5. Enter additional subinterfaces as needed.
