The IPv6 Routing Table displays the active routes in the system. It includes a combination of connected routes, static routes, and any routes established through the dynamic routing protocols (i.e. RIP and OSPF).

This table applies to IPv6 routes; for IPv4 route data, see Viewing Routing Table.

How to view the IPv6 Routing Table

To view the IPv6 Routing Table:

  1. In the WebUI, click the Settings tab.

  2. In the left navigation pane, go to Protocols > IPv6.

  3. From the menu, select Routing Table.

Routing Table - Field Definitions

Network Address

Indicates the destination IPv6 network address for the route.

Gateway

Specifies the IP Address of the next-hop router to use for the route.

Next Hop Interface

 Specifies the interface of the next-hop router to use for the route.

Type

The origin of the routing entry (e.g. Connected, Static, OSPF, RIP, etc.).

Metric

The cost of the given route.  This is often counted in hops.

Administrative Distance

The priority of the routing protocol that created this routing entry. Lower values indicate a higher priority.
