This document provides a brief description of each element within a Call Route; for full details on field definitions, refer to Creating and Modifying Entries to Call Routing Tables.

These instructions assume knowledge of navigation and configuration in the WebUI.

Basic Configuration Options - Definitions

Route Details

Admin StateEnable/Disable Route
Route PriorityAdjusts order of call route processing. Routes are sorted first by priority, and then top-to-bottom order. 1 = highest priority
Call PriorityUsed with E911. Sets the Priority header.
Number/Name Transformation TableTransformation Table name.

Destination Information

Destination Type
  1. Any Normal Description
  2. A Destination SG that has a Register Table
  3. If Transformation Table evaluates TRUE, Deny (reject) the call.
Message Translation TablePermits changes like turning 183 Progress into 180 Ringing, changing ISDN IEs, or discarding selected messages.
Cause Code ReroutesIf the call is rejected with a Cause Code present in this list, then proceed to the next call route; otherwise disconnect incoming call leg.
Cancel Others Upon ForkingImagine a forked call to Lync and mobile; and Lync is forwarded to the mobile. Unless this is enabled, mobile will receive two calls, forked and forwarded.
Fork CallSimultaneously processes this route and next route in the table. Places calls to both routes.
Destination Signaling GroupsIf the Transformation Table succeeds, sends the call out the listed Signaling Group.

Media

FieldBasic Description
Audio/Fax Stream ModeDetermines how the SBC handles call signaling and Audio/Fax media stream during a call.
Video Application Stream ModeDetermines how the SBC handles call signaling and Video/Application media stream during a call.
Media TranscodingControls transcoding, such as incoming SIP G.711 to outgoing SIP G.723 (Not required for ISDN to SIP calls).
Media List
  • Provides the ability to select codecs based upon the individual route.
  • Creates a list of codecs common between the incoming SG and the route codec list.
  • Creates a different list of codecs commen between the call route and the egress SG.
  • Transcodes between the ingress and egress, if the final codecs for the call legs are different.

Quality of Service

FieldBasic Description
Quality Metrics Number of CallsSets the number of calls to average the RTCP statistics over.
Quality Metrics Time before RetryIf the route is disabled for quality issues, this amount of time is required before the route is used again.
Min. ASR ThresholdAnswer to Seizure (attempts) Radio. If the percentage of completed calls falls below this number, disable the route for Time Before Retry time. 0 = disabled.
Enable Min MOS ThresholdEnables MOS score.
Enable Max. R/T DelayIf Enabled and the RTT delay exceeds the configured value, disable the route for the Time Before Retry time. Calculated from RTCP information.
Max R/T DelaySpecifies Round Trip delay.
Enable Max. JitterIf Enabled and the Jitter delay exceeds the configured value, disable the route for the Time Before Retry time. Calculated from RTCP information.
Max. JitterMaximum average jitter.
