Overview
The SBC 1000 FXS cards, both upper and lower, comprise four standard FXS ports with RJ-11 connectors. The RJ-11 connectors on the FXS card are black in color so that they can be easily distinguished from the SBC 1000 FXO cards (gray connectors) when installed in the chassis.
The SBC 1000 supports a maximum of six FXS cards, providing a maximum of 24 FXS ports. The number of FXS cards installed depends on the specific configuration and limited by the number of other daughter cards (FXO and BRI) installed as part of the specific configuration.

Circuit Protection
Protection circuits are included on the FXS card. The FXS circuit on the SBC 1000 meets the requirements of UL/EN60950.
The FXS circuits also include fusing and protection devices to comply with the following:
