To deploy the SBA, you must execute the following steps in order:

Step 1 - Prepare the SBA
This step prepares the SBA by installing all components of the local Survivable Branch packages onto the ASM.
Click Prepare SBA
- A series of status messages are displayed when executing this step:
Installs SQL Server.
Installs the Lync Core Components.
Installs the Lync Front End (FE) Server:
Step 2 - Start Replication
This step starts the configuration replication from the Lync Topology
Click Start Replication with Lync Server
- A series of status messages are displayed when executing this step:
The Lync topology configuration is exported and imported into the SBA.
The replication starts.
Step 3 - Activate the SBA
This step activates the SBA software with the Lync Server (enables its role as an SBA with the Lync Server)
Click the Activate SBA with Lync Server
- A series of status messages are displayed when executing this step:
The Lync SBA is activated with the Lync Communication Server.
The execution completes.
