Server Status Notes

When Status-Server (RFC 5997) is selected in the Send Connectivity Packet Type list box:

  • A RADIUS server will appear as Down in the Server Connectivity column of the RADIUS Servers Table until the SBC has successfully pinged the RADIUS server three consecutive times. This process requires approximately one minute for accounting servers. For authentication servers, the process requires approximately three minutes with pings one minute apart. You can check on the progress by clicking the Counters text in the row of the server about which you are concerned.

When Request is selected in the Send Connectivity Packet type list box:

  • A RADIUS server will appear as Down in the Server Connectivity column of the RADIUS Servers Table until the SBC has successfully received a response from the RADIUS server.
