ASM IP Configuration
In order for the ASM to operate, it must also be configured with an IP address, and it must be on the same IP subnet as the IP address configured above. Your options to configure an ASM IP are as follows:
- DHCP Enabled: Determines how the ASM configures its network interface. When set to Yes, it enables the ASM to automatically configure its network interface from the DHCP server reachable via the Ribbon SBC 1000's Ethernet Port #1. Ensure that the IP address is on the same subnet as those provided by your DHCP server. When set to No, the IPV4 Address field is displayed.
- IPv4 Address. Ensure you enter an IP address that is different than the one configured above. The Netmask entered above applies to both the Ribbon SBC 1000/2000 system and the ASM.
These fields are displayed only when the SBC has an ASM and Static is selected from the Network Configuration field.
