To deploy the SBA, you must execute the following steps in order:

Step 1 - Prepare the SBA

This step prepares the SBA by installing all components of the local Survivable Branch packages onto the ASM.

  1. Click Prepare SBA.

  2. A series of status messages are displayed when executing this step:

    1. Installs SQL Server.

    2. Installs the Skype Core Components.

    3. Installs the Skype Front End (FE) Server:

Step 2 - Start Replication

This step starts the configuration replication from the Skype Topology.

  1. Click Start Replication with Skype Server.

  2. A series of status messages are displayed when executing this step:

    1. The Skype topology configuration is exported and imported into the SBA.

    2. The replication starts.

Step 3 - Activate the SBA

This step activates the SBA software with the Skype Server (enables its role as an SBA with the Skype Server).

  1. Click the Activate SBA with Skype Server.

  2. A series of status messages are displayed when executing this step:

    1. The Skype SBA is activated with the Skype Communication Server.

    2. The execution completes.
