Checking Port Status

To view the status of your SBC 1000/2000 system's physical ports:

  1. In the SBC 1000/2000 WebUI, click the System tab.

  2. On the System page, click the Overview tab.

    The Port status shown below is for an SBC 2000.

When viewed in the WebUI, the Port Status panel view is located in the middle of the web page (on the right).

Ribbon SBC 1000 System Port Configurations

The Ribbon SBC 1000 has a maximum of 32 physical ports:

  • 4 T1/E1 Ports
  • 24 Analog (FXS/FXO) ports or 12 ISDN BRI ports
  • 1 WAN Port
  • 2 Ethernet LAN ports (SBC 1000), 3 Ethernet LAN Ports (SBC 1000v2)
  • 1 ASM port (if ASM is installed)


The third Ethernet port on the SBC 1000 is available only if running SBC 1000 v2 hardware and SBC Release 6.0.0 or later. For hardware details, see Ribbon SBC 1000 Hardware Specifications.

Ribbon SBC 2000 System Port Configurations

The Ribbon SBC 2000 has a maximum of 22 physical ports:

  • 2 Line Card Slots (for T1/E1 and/or FXS) . See below for example possible Line Card Slot Combinations:
