The following steps are required in order to configure a Mac OS X based laptop or portable computer for Running Initial Setup on Ribbon SBC 1000/2000.

To Set a Static IP Address in Mac OS X

  1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences...
  2. Select Network.
  3. Click the Ethernet interface, and the IP settings will appear.
  4. Click the dropdown for Configure IPv4, and select Manually.
  5. Enter 192.168.128.8 for IP Address, and 255.255.255.0 for Subnet Mask, as shown below.

  6. Click Apply.
