Overview

The SBC Easy Config interface includes a built-in, step-by-step configuration wizard that enables quick and easy set up of the SBC in a deployment that includes endpoints for an IP PBX and UCaaS.

For SBC 1000/2000 and SBC SWe Edge,  the following SIP Trunks are supported:

  • Cisco CUCM
  • Other IP PBX
  • Avaya SM/CM

Step 1 - Select Scenario

  1. In the WebUI, click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left navigation pane, go to SBC Easy Setup > Easy Config Wizard. 
  3. Select the Application (SIP Trunk ↔ IP PBX). Specify the configuration scenario details based on the deployment, then click Next to move to Step 2. (Or, you click Cancel if you need to return to the main WebUI screen.)  



    Configure Scenario - Field Definitions

    Field

    Description

    ApplicationIP PBX ↔ UCaaS
    Scenario DescriptionName to describe the setup.
    Telephone CountryCountry in which the IP PBX is setup.
    SIP SessionsNumber of simultaneous SIP Sessions. Valid entry: 1 - 960.
    IP PBX

    IP PBX Type.

    For SBC 1000/2000 and SBC SWe Edge:

    • Avaya SM/CM
    • Cisco CUCM
    • Other IP PBX
    UCaaSBy default, the User Type is set to Zoom.

Step 2: Configure IP PBX 

Easy Configuration Step 2 includes configuration for the IP PBX endpoint.

  1. Configure the IP PBX information (see below for field definitions for each available provider).
  2. Configure the UCaaS: Zoom information (see below for field definitions) 
  3. Click Next

Avaya SM/CM

The fields below are displayed if you select Avaya SM/CM from the Type drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure Avaya SM/CM

Field

Description

HostHost IP or FQDN.
ProtocolIP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the server. Valid entries are UDP and TCP.
Port NumberPort number used for sending and receiving SIP messages.
Use Secondary ServerEnables or disables the secondary Remote Peer service provider configured. Valid entry: Disabled or Enabled.
Secondary Server HostSpecifies the Secondary host. Valid entry: IP Address or FQDN. This field is available only when Use Secondary Server is Enabled.
Protocol

The Protocol used for communicating with the Secondary Server. Valid entry: UDP or TCP. This field is available only when Use Secondary Server is Enabled.

Port numberSpecifies the Port Number used for sending and receiving messages between the SBC and the Secondary Server. This field displays only when Use Secondary Server is Enabled. Default entry: 5060.


Cisco CUCM

The fields below are displayed if you select Cisco CUCM from the Type drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure CISCO CUCM

Field

Description

HostHost IP or FQDN.
ProtocolIP protocol used for sending and receiving SIP messages between SBC and the server. Valid entries are UDP and TCP.
Port NumberPort number used for sending and receiving SIP messages. Default entry: 5060.
Use Secondary ServerEnables or disables the secondary Remote Peer service provider configured. Valid entry: Disabled or Enabled.
Secondary Server HostSpecifies the Secondary host. Valid entry: IP Address or FQDN. This field is available only when Use Secondary Server is Enabled.

The fields below are displayed if you select Other IP PBX from the Type drop down list in Step 1. 

Configure Other IP PBX

Field

Description

UCaaS: Zoom 

Configure SIP Trunk: UCaaS Zoom

Field

Description

Signaling/Media Source IP

The external (Internet-facing) IP address of the Zoom server that handles routing of messages for signaling and media.

HostThe IP/FQDN address used for Zoom. Valid entry: FQDN or IP.
Port NumberThe port used for Zoom.  Valid entry: 1024 - 65535.


Step 3: Confirm and Submit Configuration

This step displays a summary of the information configured in Step 1 and Step 2. 

Review the information and click Finish.
