This Best Practice includes instructions for configuring Ethernet Redundancy on an SBC 1000/2000, as well as on an SBC 1000/2000 for ASM.

Configure Ethernet Redundancy - Ethernet Port 1 for Pairing to Ethernet Port 3
- Access the WebUI.
Access Node Interfaces > Ports and select Ethernet 1.
- From the Frame Type drop down list, select Untagged.
From Default Untagged VLAN drop down list, select Ethernet 1 VLAN.

From the Redundancy drop down list, select Failover.

From the Redundant Port drop down list, select the port for redundancy (in below example, the port is Ethernet 3).

Click OK.
Following configuration, Ethernet 1 displays as the Primary role and Ethernet 3 displays as the Secondary role. See below.

Configure Redundancy for ASM
For communication between the SBC 1000/2000 and the ASM to work properly, the ASM port's Default Untagged VLAN must be configured to a VLAN whose logical IP address is in the same subnet as the ASM's IP address. For example, if the ASM port's default VLAN is set to Ethernet 1 VLAN, the logical interface Ethernet 1 IP must have its IP address in the same subnet as the ASM IP.
