generation of system diagnostic dump to debug system issues. It also to download and save the log files for using later.
To collect the system diagnostics information, perform the following actions:
, go to Administration > System Administration > System Diagnostics. The System Diagnostics Dump window is displayed.
The System Diagnostics Dump screen consists of the following panes:
- System Diagnostics Dump Options—Specifies the system dump option information, which consists of the recorded state of the working memory of a computer program at a specific time, generally when the program is terminated abnormally (crashed).
- System Dump Logs—Specifies the system dump log information.

Verbose mode | This option when selected prints every single detail during the system collection to the user. |
Collect log for | Specifies the logs that are collected based on the options selected: - The last day(s) : Select the number of days to collect the log from the drop-down list values are from 1-31 days
OR - For a date range- From/To: Select the calendar days for the logs to be collected

In the frame System Diagnostics Dump Options, check/uncheck the boxes against various options, and provide suitable values for other fields.
To set the System Diagnostics Dump settings, perform the following:
- Enter the maximum number of core files to save in the Maximum number of core files field.
Enter the maximum number of CPS core files to save in the Maximum number of CPS core files to save field.
Enter the maximum number of DSP core files to save in the Maximum number of DSP core files to save field.
- Check/Uncheck the boxes given against various options. See the table Options - System Diagnostics Dump for description of the options.
Specify if you want to collect logs for a specified number of days or for a specific date range by selecting The last day(s) or For date range option in the Select Collect log for field.
- Click Run System Diagnostics Dump. The results are displayed in the System dump command results text box.
If none of the above options are chosen, and the maximum number of core files, DSP core files or CPS core files are all left blank, the default behavior is to copy only the latest application, DSP and CPS cores and the past seven days of log files.
The System Dump process aborts if there are more than two tar files in the directory. Delete the old tar files and then continue with the system dump process. System Dump process also terminates if the disk space on the server is lesser than or equal to 20%.
Click button to proceed. The generated log files are displayed at the bottom, in the System Diagnostics Dump Logs frame.

System Dump Logs - Information
Parameter | Description |

Name | Specifies the name of the log file. |
Date | Specifies the date when the log file is created, in MM/DD/YYYY format. |
Time | Specifies the time when the log file is created in HH:MM:SS format. |
Click the button adjacent to the desired log file to download the file. Click to delete the log file.
To open after download, select Open with option and mention the mode from the drop-down menu and to Save the file, select Save File option and click OK. Provide the location for the file to get saved.
