The SBC 7000 chassis configured for DC power is shipped with two dual redundant DC power supplies. Dual redundancy means the power supplies are hot-swappable. In other words, you can replace a power supply without powering down the SBC 7000 series platform (provided that the redundant power supply is operational).

To replace a faulty power supply, the following items are needed:
Perform the following procedure to replace a Power Supply:
Disconnect RTN and -48V connections by loosening two terminal nuts with the 3/8" socket.
Pull out the DC Power Supply from the SBC chassis.
Install the replacement DC Power Supply into the SBC 7000 chassis by sliding it forward until the latch clicks in place.
Power supply must be inserted and fully placed before connecting power cables back.
All SBC 7000 CRUs are shipped in electrostatic discharge bags and should be handled using appropriate ESD precautions.

The ESD Susceptibility symbol warns of the presence of Ribbon devices susceptible to electrostatic discharge. Do not handle equipment without wearing a properly grounded ESD wrist strap.
