The Legacy Mobile Station Domain (LMSD) or 3GPP2 defines the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) inter-working with CDMA network for IP based trunking between CDMA Mobile Switching Centers (MSC) to enable Transcoder Free Operations (TrFO). When SBC is not configured with tone profiles, inter-working of calls are accomplished by additional configurations. For more information on LMSD interworking, refer to LMSD Interworking without Tones.
To configure LMSD interworking without tones on the EMA:
Log on to the EMS SWe GUI. The following screen appears:
On the navigation pane, select Element Management > SBX Manager.
Select the registered SBC manager to configure.
Select All > Address Context > Zone > SIP Trunk Group >Signaling.
The Signaling page appears:
To configure LMSD interworking without tones on the PSX Manager:
Log on to the EMS SWe GUI. The following screen appears:
On the navigation pane, select Element Management > PSX Manager.
Select the registered Master PSX.
The PSX Manager screen appears.
Select the Default_LMSD profile.
On bottom-left corner of the screen, click New to create a new profile and enter a name for IP Signaling Profile.
