Note:

Beginning with SBC Core release 7.0, the SBC is configured in legacy license mode by default. The “local” and “network” options for license mode that were supported for SBC SWe in prior releases are being phased out. Although some references to local license mode remain in documentation, the CLI, or the EMA UI, local license mode is not supported.

If your SBC SWe deployment was configured to use network license mode in a prior release, the tools to monitor and configure network-mode licensing remain available but will be phased out in the future. Contact your Ribbon Sales Representative for more information on licensing and assistance in updating your license.

Configuring Network Licenses Using CLI

Note

A maximum of four SLSs are configurable, but Sonus currently only supports up to two license servers that are deployed as part of an EMS GR deployment.

 

Note

Network licensing is limited to deployments in which it was deployed in pre-7.0 releases. The default license mode for release 7.0 is legacy mode. If you need assistance in setting license mode, contact Ribbon Technical Support.

Ensure that you have installed licenses on the SLS before attempting license configuration on the SBC.

  • The minCount and maxCount are set to 1 and UNLIMITED respectively, if you do not provide the values in the above CLI for minCount and maxCount.
