In this section:
Use this window to view and configure mappings between specific, internal (Call Processing Component) cause codes and SIP codes. These cause maps are components of CPC To SIP cause map profiles. The mappings for the default CPC To SIP cause map profiles can be listed in this window, but you cannot modify or delete the cause maps within a default profile. However, you can create new cause maps within a custom cause map profile you have added.
If you choose to base your custom profile on one of the default profiles, any cause maps you create for your custom profile override the mapping specified in the base profile. Otherwise, the custom profile reflects the cause maps of the profile on which it was based.
On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Signaling Profiles > SIP Cause Code Mapping > CPC To SIP Cause Map Profile > Cause Map or
All > Profiles > Signaling > SIP Cause Code Mapping > CPC To SIP Cause Map Profile > Cause Map
The Cause Map window opens. Select a cause map profile in the CPC To SIP Cause Map Profile list to see the cause maps for a specific profile.
You cannot add new cause maps to any of the default cause map profiles. To create a new cause map for a custom cause map profile you created:
Click New Cause Map. The Create New Cause Map window is displayed.
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
CPC Cause | Specifies a CPC cause value. The range allowed is 1 to 255. |
SIP Cause | Specifies the SIP status code value to map to the given CPC Cause value. The range allowed in 300 to 606. |
Q850Reason | Specifies the Reason Header Q.850 value to include in the SIP message if the Include Q850Reason option is enabled in the profile. This also determines the cause code value to include in MIME encapsulated ISUP, if the call uses SIP-I signaling. A value of "0" (default) indicates that the Reason Header Q.850 value should be equal to the predefined ISUP mapping associated with the CPC Cause value. If no predefined ISUP mapping exists (as for internal cause codes 151-159), the ISDN mapping is used. The allowed range is 0- 127. |
You cannot edit the cause maps for the default profiles. To edit a cause map in a custom cause map profile:
