In this section:

The Cleared Alarms window lists alarms across all managed objects which have been cleared.

To View Cleared Alarms

On the SBC main screen, navigate to Monitoring → Dashboard → Alarms Cleared Alarms or 
Troubleshooting → Troubleshooting Tools → Alarms → Cleared Alarms

The Cleared Alarms window is displayed.

Cleared Alarms

The Cleared Alarm window displays the following fields:

Status

Specifies the status of the alarm. On this window, only Cleared alarms appear.

Comments

Specifies any comments that were added to the alarm.

Time

The timestamp when the alarm was cleared.

Description

A short, system-generated description of the event message.

Filters

You can filter the alarms to view only a subset of the cleared alarms. Filter options appear above their respective columns. 

Alarm Filters

  • Severity Filter: Displays only the alarms with the selected severity. Select All, Urgent, Major, Minor, or Info in the drop-down list. By default, the filter option is set to All.
  • Status Filter: Displays only the alarms with the selected status type. In the Cleared Alarm ListAll and Cleared are equivalent. By default, the filter option is set to All.
  • Comments Filter: Comments filter displays alarms with any specific comment (if any). You should be aware of the alarm comment for which you are performing the filter.
  • Time/Date Range Filter: Displays all the alarms within a specified time or date duration. Click the calendar icon and select the date/time range for the alarms.

Date/Time Filter Control

  • Alarm Description Filter: Enter a text string above the Description column to list only those alarms with descriptions that include the text string. The Description column includes system-generated messages.

After specifying a filter, you can refresh the list using the refresh icon below the filter options.

To Add a Comment to a Cleared Alarm

To add a comment to a cleared alarm so that it appears in the alarm summary:

  1. Click the radio button next to the alarm entry. The Edit Alarm window opens.

2. Enter your comment in Comments and click Save.

Enable Live Feed

Enabling Live Feed will cause the alarms list to periodically update automatically. If there are any new alarms when Live Feed is enabled, the alarm is listed in the table. If it is disabled, you have to refresh the table manually.
