This section provides information on how to use the various network tool utilities.
The Network Tools screen allows you to perform a ping or trace-route of an IP address on a specific interface on SBC. This screen also provides the status of the SBC interfaces.
To use the network tools, go to Administration > System Administration > Network Tools. The Network Tools screen displays.

The Network Tools screen consists of the following GUI elements:
GUI Element | Description |
Ping/Trace-route | This pane allows you to perform a ping or trace-route of an IP address on a specific interface on SBC. |

IP Address (IPv4 or IPv6) | Specifies the IPv4 or IPv6 address information. |
Platform Interface | Specifies the platform interface to perform the trace-route or ping action. |
Results | Specifies the results of the trace-route/ping for the entered IPv4 or IPv6 for the specific platform interface. |
Platform Interface Status | This pane displays the status of a specific SBC platform interface. |
Interface | Lists the various SBC platform interfaces. |
To use the Ping/Trace-route utilities, perform the following:
Click Start Trace-route.
While the trace-route
is in progress, the Results text box displays the progress status. When the trace-route
is complete, the Results text box displays the results.

Repeat the same process for executing the Ping utility.

To view the SBC platform interface status, perform the following:
In the Platform Interface Status pane, select the interface whose status you want to view. The status is displayed in the right side of the Interface list.
You can filter the required interfaces using the Search option found above the Interface list.
