IMPORTANT

Ribbon recommends using the Transparency Profile to configure transparency on the SBC Core for new deployments, as well as applying additional transparency configurations to existing deployments. Do not use IP Signaling Profile flags in these scenarios because the flags will be retired in upcoming releases.

Refer to the SBC SIP Transparency Implementation Guide for additional information.

Configure the SIP header to specify the option tag or method to transparently pass or block.

To View SIP Header

On the SBC main screen, go to All Profiles Services > SIP Param Filter Profiles > SIP Header.

Select the SIP Param Filter Profile from the SIP Param Filter Profile drop-down list.

The SIP Header window is displayed.

To Create SIP Header

To create a new SIP Header, click New SIP Header tab on the SIP Header List panel. The Create New SIP Header window is displayed.


SIP Header Parameters:

Parameter

Description

Header Name

Specifies the SIP header for which the option tag or method that needs to be transparently passed or blocked. Options are:

  • Allow (default) – Block or pass-though a specific method name list or all methods.
  • Require – Block or pass-though a specific option tag list or all option tags when rejected.
  • Supported – Block or pass-though a specific option tag list or all option tags.

To Copy SIP Header

To copy any of the created SIP Header and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific SIP Header to highlight the row.

Click Copy SIP Header tab on the SIP Header List panel.

The Copy Selected SIP Header window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited.

Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save. The copied SIP Header is displayed at the bottom of the original SIP Header in the SIP Header List panel.

To Delete SIP Header

To delete any of the created SIP Header, click the radio button next to the specific SIP Header.

Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision.

Click Yes to remove the specific SIP Header from the list.
