This section contains information on site planning and requirements for installing the SBC 5400 system.
The following table lists the environmental requirements for the SBC 5400 platform.
Item | Requirement |
---|---|
Server Access Clearance | A minimum clearance of 36 inches in front of and behind the chassis for maintenance access as well as air flow. |
Humidity | Short-Term* Operating
|
Full-Term Operating
| |
Non-operating
| |
Temperature | Operating 41°F to 104°F (5°C to 40°C) up to 6,000 feet (1,829 meters) |
Non-Operating -40°F to 158°F (-40°C to 70°C) | |
Elevation | Operating -197 feet to 6,000 feet (-60 to 1,800 meters) at 104°F (40°C). |
Rack Space | Width: 17.16 inch excluding mounting ears |
Vibration Profiles | Operating 0.1G, 5-100Hz, 0.1 Oct/min |
Non-operating |
The following table lists the SBC 5400 system power requirements for both AC and DC power options.
SBC 5400 | |
---|---|
DC Option | |
Operational DC Voltage (Nominal) | -48 |
Operational DC voltage (Minimal) | -40 |
Operational DC voltage (Maximum) | -72 |
DC Input Treatment | Isolated DC Return |
Maximum DC Current | 30 A Note
30A is the theoretical absolute Maximum current for the 1200W DC supply operating at -40VDC. The measured current values for an SBC 5400 running at high load with a max fan speed at -40VDC is 17.2A. |
AC Option | |
Operational AC Voltage (Nominal) | 100-120 VAC @ 50-60 Hz |
Maximum AC Current | 12 A / 7 A |
Power Cord | An AC power cord is included in SBC shipments for SBCs equipped with AC power supplies. (North American 15 A 125 VOLT NEMA 5-15P to IEC C19 Connector) |
Grounding | |
Bonding | Bonded to a grounding system utilizing either an Isolated Bonding Network (Isolated Ground) or a Common Bonding Network (Integrated Ground). |
SBCs shipped with AC power supplies include a customer-selectable, country-specific power cord that is chosen during the system quoting process. The example above is a North American power cord (15 amp 125 volt NEMA 5-15P to IEC C19 connector), which is one of the selections.
