Use this object to create and configure a call admission control (CAC) profile providing the ability for each SIP registered or static endpoint to have individualized limits on the number of active calls and the call rate. A limit on active calls (CALL LIMIT) is applied to calls in either the ingress or egress direction, whereas policing controls (RATE, BURST-SIZE) apply to ingress and egress calls separately. On the SBC main screen, choose a path: The SIP CAC Profile window is displayed. To edit any of the SIP CAC Profiles in the list, click the radio button next to the specific SIP CAC Profile name. The Edit Selected SIP CAC Profile window is displayed below. Make the required changes and click Save. To create a new SIP CAC Profile, click New SIP CAC Profile tab on the SIP CAC Profile List panel. The Create New SIP CAC Profile window is displayed. SIP CAC Profile Parameters: Parameter Length/Range Description Name 1-23 characters The name of the SIP Call Admission Control (CAC) profile you are configuring. State N/A The administrative state of this SIP CAC Profile: NOTE: Setting a SIP CAC profile state to " Call Limit Threshold 0-100 The call limit utilization notification threshold limit. Default = 0. Call Ingress Rate 1-1500, or unlimited The maximum call arrival rate from a peer or registered endpoint per RATE- PERIOD. Default = unlimited Call Ingress Rate Period 1-10 The period in seconds over which the CALL INGRESS RATE applies. Default = 1. Call Ingress Burst Size 1-1500 The maximum call burst size from a peer or registered endpoint. Default = 1. Call Ingress Emergency Preference N/A Specifies whether to enable call emergency preference in the Ingress mode or not. Call Ingress Aggregate Preference 1-10 The preference of calls within the aggregate policer in the Ingress mode. Default = 1. Call Ingress Aggregate Emergency Preference 1-10 The emergency preferences of calls within the aggregate policer in the Ingress mode. Default = 10. Call Egress Rate 1-1500, or unlimited The maximum call rate to a registered endpoint or peer per RATE-PERIOD. Default = unlimited. Call Egress Rate Period 1-10 The period in seconds over which the CALL EGRESS RATE applies. Default = 1. Call Egress Burst Size 1-500 The maximum call burst size for calls to a registered endpoint or peer. Default is 1. Call Egress Emergency Preference N/A Specifies whether to enable call emergency preference in the Egress mode or not. Call Egress Aggregate Preference 1-10 The preference of calls within the aggregate policer in the Egress mode. Default = 1. Call Egress Aggregate Emergency Preference 1-10 The emergency preferences of calls within the aggregate policer in the Egress mode. Default = 10. Call Limit 0-150000, or unlimited The maximum number of active calls to and from any registered endpoint or peer (the total number of ingress and egress calls). Default is unlimited. Bandwidth Limit 0-2147483647, or unlimited The maximum bandwidth a peer can use in kbps. The value range from 0 to 2147483647 k bits/second or unlimited. Default is unlimited Bandwidth Limit Threshold 0-100 The bandwidth limit value in percentage. Default = 0. 0-100 The threshold value (as a percentage of video bandwidth) to limit video streams to a specific bandwidth to prevent video calls consuming call bandwidth otherwise needed for audio calls. Default = 0, which indicates no video threshold value. Emergency Oversubscription 0-1000 Oversubscription of calls (as a percentage) allowed for emergency calls. Oversubscription of calls (as a percentage) allowed for emergency calls. When the baseline limit is reached, normal calls will be stopped but emergency calls will be allowed up to this additional percentage. Default = 10. Call Limit Ingress 0-30000, or unlimited The maximum number of inbound active calls. Emergency Oversubscription Ingress 0-1000 The oversubscription of calls (as percentage) allowed for inbound emergency calls. Once the baseline limit is reached, normal calls are blocked but emergency calls are allowed. Default = 10. Call Limit Egress 0-150000, or unlimited The maximum number of outbound active calls. Default is unlimited. Emergency Oversubscription Egress 0-1000 The oversubscription of calls (as percentage) allowed for emergency calls. Default = 10.
