This object is used to provision prefix profiles, which define dial plans. Prefix profiles contain multiple matching pattern definitions used to determine the call type, nature of address, Prefix Profile indicator, and other attributes associated with the specified matching patterns. You can also use the screen to filter calls with an invalid phone type, strip out or retain prefix digits without using a DM/PM rule, or apply a DM/PM rule to the dialed number. On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: Call Routing > Profiles > Prefix Profile. The Prefix Profile window is displayed. Call Routing - Profiles - Prefix Profile To edit any of the Prefix Profile in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Prefix Profile name. The Edit Selected Prefix Profile window is displayed below. You would not be able to edit any fields as they are read only. To create a new Prefix Profile, click New Prefix Profile tab on the Prefix Profile List panel. The Create New Prefix Profile window is displayed. Call Routing - Profiles - Prefix Profile Create Window Prefix Profile Parameters: Parameter Length/Range Description Match Start Location 0-999 The location in the dialed number to start a given prefix match. For the majority of matches, it will be the first dialed digit, which is start location 0. Total Min Digits 0-999 The number of digits expected in the dialed number. Total Max Digits 0-999 The maximum number of digits expected in the dialed number. Call Type N/A Specify the Call Type for which this service exception applies: _private (default) Do not select "_private" option when provisioning Prefix Profile on ERE. Private call routing is not fully supported at this time. Digit Type N/A If Called or Calling Digit Type is selected as the escape type, select the digit type from the list. Values are: DM PM Rule N/A Rules for standard Digit Manipulation (DM), Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) digit manipulation, and Parameter Manipulation (PM). Nature of Address N/A From the drop-down list, select the nature of address for the traffic controls. The nature of address of the number (specified by the national ID and country code) to which to apply the specified traffic flow control profile. Numbering Plan Indicator N/A The numbering plan indicator (NPI) to be assigned to a number when a match succeeds. Number Leading Prefix Digits 0-999 The number of leading digits to be considered part of the prefix. Default =0 Number Leading Prefix Digits to Strip 0-999 The number of leading digits to be stripped. Default =0 N/A Enable to apply DM/PM Rule. N/A When this flag is enabled, the area code is determined from the analyzed digits. To delete any of the created Prefix Profile, click the radio button next to the specific Prefix Profile which you want to delete. Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row.
