Use this screen to configure the remote Identity that SBC presents to the Peer during phase 1 authentication.

On the SBC main screen, navigate to All > Address Context > Ipsec > Peer > Remote Identity.

The Remote Identity can be checked for each Address Context and Peer or all the Address Contexts and Peers. Use the drop-down boxes to select the desired Address Context and Peer.

The Remote Identity window is displayed.

Remote Identity Parameters:

Choose an IP address format type.

  • FQDN – This parameter specifies that the remote identity is presented in Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) format, taking as its value the FQDN of the SBC, specified by the next argument, such as ribbon.example.com.
  • IP V4AddrThis parameter specifies that the remote identity will be presented in IPv4 address dotted decimal format, taking as its value the IP address of the SBC specified by the next argument (example: 138.456.78.999).
  • IP V6Addr – This parameter specifies that the remote identity will be presented in IPv6 address hexadecimal/colon format, taking as its value the IP address of the SBC specified by the next argument (example: 1280:1276:3350:2224:2222:3333:8888:1245 or fd00:21:445:128::7880).

IP Address V4 or V6

The IPv4/IPv6 address to use for this remote identity.

Make the required changes and click Save.
