This section helps you to understand the Adaptive NAT pinhole learning parameters. 

To View and Edit Adaptive Learning

On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > System Provisioning > Category: Trunk Provisioning > Trunk Group > SIP Trunk Group > SIP Trunk Advanced > SIP Trunk - Nat Traversal - Advanced > Adaptive Learning. The Adaptive Learning window is displayed.

You can check Adaptive Learning for each Address Context, Zone, and SIP Trunk Group created, or all Address Contexts, Zones, and SIP Trunk Groups created. Use the drop-down box to select the desired Address Context, Zone and Sip Trunk Group.

The Edit Adaptive Learning window is displayed.

Adaptive Learning parameters

Enables/disables the adaptive nat pinhole timeout learning process for devices behind NAT. 

  • Disabled (default) 
  • Enabled

Max UDP Pinhole Timer

Defines the upper limit of the pinhole timeout for UDP in seconds. The value ranges from 60 to 65535 seconds and the default value is 180 seconds. 

Max TCP Pinhole Timer

Defines upper limit of the pinhole timeout for TCP in seconds. The value ranges from 60 to 65535 seconds and the default value is 600 seconds. 

Re Learning Interval

Specifies the interval in hours at which the pinhole timeout is relearned. The default value is 24.

Make the required changes and click Save.

Adaptive Learning Commands

  1. In the Adaptive Learning Commands panel, select clearStats from the drop down list.
  2. Click Select. A pop up window appears seeking your confirmation.
  3. Click clearStats button to confirm the action. The result of this action is displayed.
  4. Click OK to exit the window.
