You can deploy the SBC SWe in any standard OpenStack environment that meets the requirements described at OpenStack Hardware and Software Requirements. To deploy an instance on OpenStack, you must develop a Heat template that contains the necessary resource definitions and parameters and then launch the instance. Complete these tasks using standard OpenStack tools.

Refer to OpenStack documentation or the documentation provided by your OpenStack vendor for more information. 

The following pages outline the tasks you must complete. 

Note

Make sure all your NICs are physically plugged in (link light on) before spawning a VM instance using the SBC qcow2 image. Otherwise, an incorrect port mapping may occur (logical to physical), and your SBC may not function properly.
