Perform the following steps from RAMP and SBC to register the SBC with RAMP to facilitate performing Lawful Intercept (LI) CDC and target settings.


  1. From RAMP, register the SBC node on RAMP as user 'admin'.
  2. From the SBC, configure the 'calea' user on SBC.
  3. From RAMP, use vi (or other text editor) to add the following three lines to /export/home/ramp/weblogic/sonusRamp/data/sys/SystemConfig.txt file. This enables 'calea' user on RAMP.

    psxClientVersionFile=/export/home/ramp/weblogic/sonusRamp/data/sys/PsxClientVersion.txt
    defaultCaleaUser=true 


  4. Restart RAMP by logging in as insight user and entering the commands:

    ./sonusRamp stop;
    ./sonusRamp start; 


  5. Modify the RAMP admin user/password used for registration of SBC Node to 'calea' user/password.

    1. Login to RAMP as admin user.

    2. Under Network Mgmnt roll-up panel, click Insight Administration.

    3. From the left panel, expand the SBC 5x00 tree and select the SBC node.

    4. Modify the user/password used for registration of SBC Node to 'calea' user/password.

    5. Click Update (do not click Discover)

  6. Login to RAMP as 'calea' user and perform CDC configuration. See

    CDC Devices Configuration
    for details.

  7. Logout 'calea' user from RAMP.

  8. Login to RAMP again using 'admin' user.

  9. Revert SBC's Node Registration user setting back to 'admin' user/password.

    1. Expand the SBC 5x00 tree and select the SBC Node, modify the user/password used for registration of SBC Node to admin user/password

    2. Click Update and then Discover.
