Running the DM/PM rules is CPU- and memory-intensive because each rule is issued for every sub-rule linearly. If you do not use DM/PM rules sparingly, it becomes difficult to manage the number of DM/PM rules or sub-rules applied to a call. Ribbon recommends issuing no more than 80-100 sub-rules per call.

Use this screen to configure the Sub Rule parameters. On the SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Digit Parameter Handling Profiles > DM PM Rule > Sub Rule. Select the desired DM PM Rule from the drop-down list to view its respective Sub Rule parameters. The Sub Rule window is displayed. Profile Management - DM PM Rule - Sub Rule To edit any of the Sub Rule in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Sub Rule name. The Edit Selected Sub Rule window is displayed below. Profile Management - DM PM Rule - Sub Rule Edit Window Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made. To create a new Sub Rule, click New Sub Rule tab on the Sub Rule List panel. The Create New Sub Rule window is displayed. Profile Management - DM PM Rule - Sub Rule Create Window DM PM Rule - Sub Rule Parameters: Priority Set the priority level. Criteria Select the criteria type from the drop-down list. The options are: To copy any of the created Sub Rule and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Sub Rule to highlight the row. Click Copy Sub Rule tab on the Sub Rule List panel. The Copy Selected Sub Rule window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited. Profile Management - DM PM Rule - Sub Rule Copy Window Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes. The copied Sub Rule is displayed at the bottom of the original Sub Rule in the Sub Rule List panel. To delete any of the created Sub Rule, click the radio button next to the specific Sub Rule which you want to delete. Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision. Click Yes to remove the specific Sub Rule from the list.To View Sub Rule
