Cac - Shared Cac Limits Pool

In this section:

Use the Shared CAC Limits Pool window to configure general parameters for a shared CAC limits pool object. A shared CAC-limits pool is a global resource that helps define define multi-level Call Admission Control (CAC) policy by linking trunk groups together in a pyramid-type structure. Trunk groups are assigned to shared CAC-limits pools, and sets of CAC-limits pools can be assigned a parent to create a higher-level shared CAC-limit pool. Refer to Shared CAC-Limits Pool - CLI for more information on this capability.

To View Shared CAC Limits Pool

On the SBC main screen, go to All > Global > CAC > Shared CAC Limits Pool. The Shared CAC Limits Pool window is displayed.

To Edit a Shared CAC Limits Pool

To edit any of the Shared Cac Limits Pool in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Shared Cac Limits Pool name.

The Edit Selected Shared CAC Limits Pool window is displayed below.

Make the required changes and click Save.

To Create Shared CAC Limits Pool

To create a new Shared CAC Limits Pool, click New Shared CAC Limits Pool tab on the Shared CAC Limits Pool List panel.

The Create New Shared CAC Limits Pool window is displayed.

The following fields are displayed:

Shared CAC Limits Pool

Parameter	Description
Name	Specifies the name for this shared CAC-Limits pool.
Parent Shared CAC Limits Pool Name	Specifies an existing shared CAC-Limits pool to be the parent of this CAC-Limits pool.
Call Limit	Specifies the total number of concurrent calls (either ingress or egress) allowed. The value range from 0 - 2000000000 calls.
Call Limit Threshold	Specifies the concurrent calls notification threshold. The value range from 0 - 100%.
Bandwidth Limit	Specifies the total media bandwidth limit in K bits/second. The value range from 0 - 2000000000 k bits/second
Bandwidth Limit Threshold	Specifies the bandwidth utilization notification threshold. The value range from 0 - 100%.
Emergency Oversubscription	Specifies the oversubscription of resources (As percentage) that is allowed for emergency calls. When the baseline call limit and the bandwidth limit are reached, normal calls will be blocked and only emergency calls will be allowed up to this additional percentage. The value range from 0 - 100%.
Registration Limit	Specifies the total number of concurrent SIP registrations allowed. The value range from 0 - 2000000000 registrations.
Subscription Limit	Specifies the total number of concurrent SIP subscriptions allowed. The value range from 0 - 2000000000 subscriptions.

Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes.

To Copy Shared CAC Limits Pool

To copy any of the created Shared CAC Limits Pools and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Shared CAC Limits Pool to highlight the row.

Click Copy Shared CAC Limits Pool tab on the Shared CAC Limits Pools List panel.

The Copy Selected Shared CAC Limits Pool window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited.

Parameter	Description
Name	Specifies the name of the shared CAC-Limit pool.
Parent Shared CAC Limits Pool Name	Specifies an existing CAC-Limits pool to be the parent of this CAC-Limits pool..
Call Limit	Specifies the total number of concurrent calls (either ingress or egress) allowed. The value range from 0 - 2000000000 calls.
Call Limit Threshold	Specifies the concurrent calls notification threshold. The value range from 0 - 100%.

Registration Limit	Specifies the total number of concurrent SIP registrations allowed. The value range from 0 - 2000000000 registrations.
Subscription Limit	Specifies the total number of concurrent SIP subscriptions allowed. The value range from 0 - 2000000000 subscriptions.
Ingress
Call Rate Max	Specifies the maximum sustained ingress call rate allowed in calls per second. (range: 1-450, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-1350, or unlimited). You can set both Call Burst Max and Call Rate Max as unlimited; however, if you assign a value to one parameter, the other must also be assigned a value.
Call Burst Max	Specifies the maximum allowed burst size (above the allowed sustained rate) for ingress call attempts, in calls per second. (range: 1-900, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-2700, or unlimited).
Register Rate Max	Specifies the maximum sustained ingress rate (registrations per second) of initial SIP registrations allowed. (range: 1-1000, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-3000, or unlimited) You can set both Register Burst Max and Register Rate Max as unlimited; however, if you assign a value to one parameter, the other must also be assigned a value.
Register Burst Max	Specifies the maximum allowed burst (above the allowed sustained rate) for ingress initial SIP registrations. (range: 1-1000, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-3000, or unlimited)
Call Limit	Specifies the total number of concurrent calls (either ingress or egress) allowed on ingress. The value ranges from 0 to 2147483647 or unlimited (default).
Emergency Oversubscription	Specifies the oversubscription of resources (as a percentage) that is allowed for emergency calls. The value ranges from 0 to 1000 and the default value is 10.
Extended Emergency IP Limit	The resource oversubscription (expressed as numeric value) allowed for emergency calls. The value ranges from 0 to 40000 with a default value of 0.
Subscribe Rate Max	Specifies the maximum sustained ingress rate (subscribes per second) of initial SIP subscribe request. (range: 1-1000, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-3000, or unlimited)
Subscribe Burst Max	Specifies the maximum allowed burst (above the allowed sustained rate) for ingress initial SIP subscribe request. (range: 1-1000, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-3000, or unlimited)
Other Req Rate Max	Specifies the maximum sustained ingress rate (requests per second) of other out-of-dialog SIP requests. (range: 1-1000, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-3000, or unlimited).
Egress
Call Rate Max	Specifies the maximum sustained egress call rate allowed in calls per second. (range: 1-200, or unlimited. (range: 1-450, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-1350, or unlimited). You can set both Call Burst Max and Call Rate Max as unlimited; however, if you assign a value to one parameter, the other must also be assigned a value.
Call Burst Max	Specifies the maximum allowed burst size (above the allowed sustained rate) for egress call attempts, in calls per second. (range: 1-900, or unlimited.SBC Core range is 1-2700, or unlimited).

Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save. The copied Shared CAC Limits Pool is displayed at the bottom of the original Shared CAC Limits Pool in the Shared CAC Limits Pool List panel.

To Delete Shared CAC Limits Pool

To delete any of the created Shared CAC Limits Pool:

Click the radio button next to the specific Shared CAC Limits Pool which you want to delete.
Click the Delete icon (X) at the end of the highlighted row.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
