Runtime Diagnostic Tests window provides options to perform Diagnostic Test and store the results of the test as log files.

On the SBC Main screen, go to Troubleshooting > Troubleshooting Tools > Runtime Diagnostic Test. The Runtime Diagnostic Test window is displayed.

Initial Runtime Diagnostic Test Window

Runtime Diagnostic Tests window has two panes. Both the panes are visible only after stopping the SBC application. To stop the SBC application, refer to System Administration - Platform Management.

  • Runtime Diagnostic Test Results: Displays the diagnostic test results for the active SBC server.
  • Runtime Diagnostic Test Logs: Displays the old logs for the diagnostic test results.

    Note

    The Runtime Diagnostics Test logs are also stored in Troubleshooting > Call Trace/Logs/Monitors > Log Management. Select Runtime Diagnostics Test from the list to view the logs.

The following entries are displayed in Runtime Diagnostic Test Results pane:

ParameterDescription
Test StatusSpecifies the test status information. The options are: Test Running and Test Stop.
Percent completeSpecifies the test completion in percentage (%).
Number of test executedSpecifies the number of text executed information.
Number of test passedSpecifies the number of tests passed.
Number of test failedSpecifies the number of tests failed.
Current test logSpecifies the current log information details in the display area.

The following entries are displayed on Runtime Diagnostic Test logs pane:

ParameterDescription
NameSpecifies the log names. These are system generated names.
Date/Time

Specifies the date and time at which the logs were generated in MM/DD/YYYY: HH:MM format.

To Perform Runtime Diagnostic Tests

Performing Runtime Diagnostic Tests requires you to stop the SBC Application. Stopping the SBC application causes service interruption.

The test is run only in EMA Platform Mode.

  1. Ensure that SBC application is stopped and you are logged on EMA Platform Mode. On the SBC main screen, go to Troubleshooting > Troubleshooting Tools > Runtime Diagnostic Test.
  2. Click Start Runtime Diagnostic Tests.

  3. A reboot confirmation dialog box is displayed. Click Continue to proceed.

  4. The Diagnostic Test starts and the status of the test is displayed.

  5. Once the test is complete, the application will reboot and  the logon window (EMA mode) opens.

To Download Logs

The Runtime Diagnostics Test logs are stored in Troubleshooting > Call Trace/Logs/Monitors > Log Management. Select Runtime Diagnostics Test from the list to view the logs.

Refer Downloading Logs to download the logs.

Note

Alternatively, you can also download the logs from Runtime Diagnostic Test Logs pane. However, to view this pane you should stop the SBC application first and log on EMA Platform Mode.


To Delete Logs

Note

Once a log file is deleted, it cannot be retrieved from any location.

 

The Runtime Diagnostics Test logs are stored in Troubleshooting > Call Trace/Logs/Monitors > Log Management. Select Runtime Diagnostics Test  from the list to view the logs.
