This window provides the options to view and modify the system name, the local host name, and the peer host name.

Caution

Changing the system name requires you to stop the SBC Application. Stopping the SBC application causes service interruption.

The modifications are done only in EMA platform mode.

In a HA Pair, Change Name should be run on both active and standby SBCs.

To Change the System Name

  1. On the SBC main screen, go to Administration > System Administration > Change Name. The Change Name window is displayed.
The following message is displayed in the Change System Names panel:

The SBC application must be stopped before the system name can be changed. To stop the application, go to Administration > Platform Management and click the Stop Application button. Note that stopping the application is a service affecting operation. Once the application has stopped, return to this screen to change the name.
  2. Refer to System Administration - Platform Management to stop the SBC Application. In case of an HA pair, stop the application on both active and standby systems.
