Use this parameter to specify the SIP variant type.

Command Parameters

Variant Type Parameter

ParameterDescription
variantTypeSelect the SIP variant type to use for this SIP trunk group.
  • mgcf -based on the 3GPP 29.163 specification
  • q1912- based on the Q1912.5 specification
  • sonus - (default) based on RFC 3261 and RFC 3398
  • ttc - based on the JJ90.30 specification (refer to JJ90.30 Support from TTC Variant Type for more information)
  • uk - based on the ND1017 specification

Appendix ii.3 Interworking of Number Portability Information

Based on the JJ90.30 specification, when variantType is set to ttc then the following mapping applies:

For SIP to ISUP

  • INVITE sip: + 81312345678;npdi;rn=+8134512345@example.ne.jp;user=phone SIP/2.0
  • The rn parameter gets mapped to the called party number 
  • The R-URI gets mapped to the called directory number
  • The SBC generates the redirection counter parameter with the value of 1.

For ISUP to SIP

If the called directory number parameter is present then it gets mapped into the R-URI, and the called party number is mapped into the rn parameter and the npdi parameter is included.
