Site Power Requirements

The following table lists the SBC 7000 system power requirements:

Prior to connecting to the DC power source, connect the (earth) ground at both the designated grounding terminals on the SBC 7000 chassis and at the facility wiring side of the DC supply.

SBC 7000 System Power Requirements

Maximum DC Current

72.5 A

AC Option

Operational AC Voltage (Nominal)

220 VAC @ 50-60 Hz

Maximum AC Current

16 A

Power Cord

An AC power cord is included in SBC shipments for SBCs equipped with AC power supplies.

(North American 20 A 250 VOLT NEMA L6-20P to IEC C19 Connector)

Grounding

BondingBonded to a grounding system utilizing either an Isolated Bonding Network
(Isolated Ground) or a Common Bonding Network (Integrated Ground).

Note

SBCs shipped with AC power supplies include a customer-selectable, country-specific power cord that is chosen during the system quoting process.  The example above is a North American power cord (20 amp 250 volt NEMA L6-20P to IEC C19 connector), which is one of the selections.

Warning

For the DC-powered SBC 7000, the primary over-current protection is provided by the building circuit breaker. This breaker must not exceed 100 A (recommended rating is 80 A) to protect against excess currents, short circuits, and earth faults in accordance to national and/or local codes.

High Amp AC Power Connector

A higher amperage AC connector is used which is different than a normal AC connectors to power the SBC 7000. The connector pin orientation of this higher amperage AC connector is shown below.
