Use the Tone Codec Entry window to define the codec types to use in the Tone As Announcement Profile.

On the SBC main screen, navigate to All > Profiles > Media > Tone Codec Entry.

The Tone Codec Entry window opens.

To Create a New Tone Codec Entry

To create a new Tone Codec Entry:

  1. Click New Tone Codec Entry. The Create New Tone Codec Entry window opens. The options available to configure differ based on the codec you choose.

  2. Use the following table to configure the options and then click Save.

    The supported codec types are:
    • Amr Bandwidth Efficient
    • Amr Octet Aligned
    • Amrwb Bandwidth Efficient

    • Evrc0
    • Evrcb
    • Evrcb0
    • Evs
    • G711
    • G722
    LawSpecify the G.711 law to use. This parameter is visible only when the selected codec type is set as G711.
    • ALaw
    • ULaw (default)
    Amr Coding Rate

    Specify the audio coding rate for AMR narrowband codecs. This parameter is visible only when the selected codec type is one of the following codecs:

    • Amr Bandwidth Efficient
    • Amr Octet Aligned

    The supported coding rates are:

    • AMR-0-4.75kbps (default)
    • AMR-1-5.15kbps 
    • AMR-2-5.90kbps 
    • AMR-3-6.70kbps 
    • AMR-4-7.40kbps 
    • AMR-5-7.950kbps 
    • AMR-6-10.20kbps 
    • AMR-7-12.20kbps
    Amrwb Coding Rate

    Specify the audio coding rate for AMR wideband codecs. This parameter is visible only when the selected codec type is one of the following codecs:

    • Amrwb Bandwidth Efficient

    • Amrwb Octet Aligned

    The supported coding rates are:

    • AMR-0-6.6 (default)
    • AMR-1-8.85kbps
    • AMR-2-12.65kbps
    • AMR-3-14.25kbps
    • AMR-4-15.85kbps
    • AMR-5-18.25kbps
    • AMR-6-19.85kbps
    • AMR-7-23.05kbps
    • AMR-8-23.85kbps
    Evs Primary Coding Rate

    Specify the audio coding rate for the EVS codec. This parameter is visible only when the selected codec type is EVS.

    • EVS-0-7.2kbps  (default)
    • EVS-1-8.0kbps 
    • EVS-2-9.6kbps 
    • EVS-3-13.2kbps



Note

The Amr Bandwidth Efficient, Amr Octet Aligned, and Amrwb Octet Aligned codecs do not have corresponding announcement files mapping to the Segment ID.

To Edit a Tone Codec Entry

To edit a Tone Codec Entry:

  1. Click the radio button next to the name of the Tone Codec Entry you want to edit. The Edit Selected Tone Codec Entry window opens.
  2. Make the required changes and Click Save.

To Copy a Tone Codec Entry

To copy a Tone Codec Entry:

  1. Click the radio button next to the name of the Tone Codec Entry you want to copy.

  2. Click Copy Tone Codec Entry. The Copy Selected Tone Codec Entry window opens.
  3. Make the required changes and click Save.

To Delete a Tone Codec Entry

To delete a Tone Codec Entry:

  1. Click the radio button next to the name of the Tone Codec Entry you want to delete.
  2. Click the delete icon (X) at the end of the row.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
