In this section:
Use the Ad Service window to begin creating an Ad Service. If the SBC has locally stored subscriber data it retrieved from an Active Directory (AD) server, an Ad Service defines the characteristics of the service that retrieves AD data from the local database for use in call routing and policy decisions. Additional components of the Ad Service are configured on the Criteria and Flags windows beneath the Ad Service window.
To View Ad Services
On the SBC main screen, go to All > Global > Servers > Ad Service
The Ad Service window is displayed.

To Create Ad Service
To create a new Ad Service:
Click New Ad Service. The Create New Ad Service window opens.
Use the following table to configure the Ad Service parameters and then click Save.
Table 1: Ad Service ParametersFlexible Parameter Description Name Name for the AD Service Service Type Type of service. The default and only option is AD. Request Time Out The time interval for the AD service to respond in milliseconds. The range is 0 to 4000, the default is 2000. Priority Numeric priority of the AD service. The range is 0 to 255. - After specifying the parameters on the Ad Service window, go to the the Criteria and Flags windows to continue defining the Ad Service.
To Edit an Ad Service
To edit an existing Ad Service:
- Click the radio button next to the Ad Service you want to edit. The Edit Selected Ad Service window opens.
- Make the required changes and click Save.
To Copy an Ad Service
To copy an Ad Service:
- Click the radio button next to the Ad Service you want to copy.
- Click Copy Ad Service. The Copy Selected Ad Service window opens.
- Make any required changes and click Save.
To Delete an Ad Service
To delete an Ad Service:
- Click the radio button next to the Ad Service you want to delete.
- Click the delete icon (X) at the end of the row.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
