In this section:

Tone type contains elements which bind tone types to tone profiles for a given tone package. Following are the tone types:

  • defBusy
  • defDial
  • defRing
  • defSit1
  • defSit2
  • defSit3
  • fccBusy
  • fccDial
  • defRecorder
  • fccRingback
  • defCpeAlerting
  • defCallWaiting1
  • defCallWaiting2
  • defCallWaiting3
  • defCallWaiting4

To View Tone Type

On SBC main screen, go to Configuration > Profile Management > Category: Media Profiles > Tone Package > Tone Type.

Select the desired Tone Package from the drop-down list to view its respective Tone Type parameters.

The Tone Type window is displayed.

To Edit Tone Type

To edit any of the Tone Type in the list, click the radio button next to the specific Tone Type name.

The Edit Selected Tone Type window is displayed below.

Make the required changes and click Save at the right hand bottom of the panel to save the changes made.

To Create Tone Type

To create a new Tone Type, click New Tone Type tab on the Tone Type List panel.

The Create New Tone Type window is displayed.

Parameter

Description

Tone Type Name

Displays the user name of this tone type. Possible names for the tone type include
'dial', 'busy', 'reorder', and so on.

Tone Profile

The name of the tone profile that this tone type maps to for this tone package. The options are:

  • defBusy
  • defDial
  • defRing
  • defSit1
  • defSit2
  • defSit3
  • fccBusy
  • fccDial
  • defRecorder
  • fccRingback
  • defCpeAlerting
  • defCallWaiting1
  • defCallWaiting2
  • defCallWaiting3
  • defCallWaiting4

To Copy Tone Type

To copy any of the created Tone Type and to make any minor changes, click the radio button next to the specific Tone Type to highlight the row.

Click Copy Tone Type tab on the Tone Type List panel.

The Copy Selected Tone Type window is displayed along with the field details which can be edited.

Make the required changes to the required fields and click Save to save the changes. The copied Tone Type is displayed at the bottom of the original Tone Type in the Tone Type List panel.

To Delete Tone Type

To delete any of the created Tone Type, click the radio button next to the specific Tone Type which you want to delete.

Click Delete at the end of the highlighted row. A delete confirmation message appears seeking your decision.

Click Yes to remove the specific Tone Type from the list.
